Meet ds aeppli

Please call me Ike, I grew up in a little country place south of Williamsport, PA. I had a good ability in wrestling, and good grades. Lycoming College recruited me to wrestle and gave me a scholarship to attend. I ended up leaving Lycoming College and joining the U.S. Army Reserves. While in the reserves I encountered a telephone pole one time driving home from Philadelphia. That put my life on hold.

I had to relearn how to walk and talk. I continued my education throughout all of this.

In January 2003 I was ordered to Iraq. I spent a year, boots on ground. After I came back from the war, I finished my degree at Kutztown University as an Accountant. I then focused on Drill Sergeant school and completed the course twice. Just for fun! While doing all this I finished my MBA at the University of Phoenix. I did not reup with the US Army Reserves and had a child at age 35. Now, we live outside Harrisburg, PA.

I will work one on one with you (singles and couples) or your business and create a unique budget to your situation. A spending plan (budget) is a foundational step then you create wealth from there.  We work on your mindset changes, behaviors, and choices around money.  We make sure you have a money offense and defense in place. I will guide you; I do not sell any products.

Financial Coach vs Financial Advisor vs Financial Planner:

A financial coach provides guidance on personal finance fundamentals. Helping clients start and manage their own budget. Work through your behavior to manage debt and make informed financial decisions. A financial coach does not manage investments or offer financial products. A financial coach works with your behavior with money.

A financial advisor focuses more on the investment management and insurance needs. They recommend and manage portfolios, stocks, bonds and mutual funds. Financial Advisors typically require licenses, such as Series 6, 7 or 63, to offer securities, investment products or insurance products. A financial Advisor charges an ongoing fee as a percentage of your assets under their management.

A financial planner is more comprehensive to financial advisors, which includes investments, income, savings goals, and risk tolerance. This may include topics like insurance guidance, planning for retirement, tax efficiency, cash flow, net worth and estate planning. Financial planners may or may not have specific licenses but often hold advanced certifications, such as the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, as markers of their specific type of knowledge.

A fellow coach created this video to further explain what a financial coaching does.
